First in the Total War series of Games

Eleven years ago, Creative Assembly wow gold released their first in the Total War series of games. That game, Shogun: Total War, was a cult hit and the beginning of a franchise which has become one of the recurring high points in a PC gamer’s calendar. Last year the ingenious task of cutting ropes to feed the lovable Om Nom captured gamer’s hearts and became arguably the biggest iOS hit since Angry Birds. Months later, it appears that the formula is simple – all you need is a lovable character and simple, physics-based challenges to become the next big thing. NVIDIA is also releasing a how-to-guide outlining the key steps and additional components necessary for developers to integrate 3D streaming video capabilities into websites.

Spread across 64 levels in over 4 worlds, Drop The Chicken has all the bells and whistles you might expect from a www.hometownfocus.us/flywowgold.com potential iOS hit – universal iPhone and iPad cross compatibility, full Facebook and Twitter community support and a ‘unique certificate of achievement’ upon completion.  Up to this point there have been six games in the series, each with their own expansions. There was also a console action game spin-off called Spartan: Total Warrior (PS2, Gamecube, Xbox – 2005) but for the purposes of this article, we’ll ignore that one and stick to the pure tactical bloodline of the PC games. NVIDIA 3D Vision technology supports the richest array of 3D content available, including 500 3D games, Blu-ray 3D movies, 3D photos and streaming Web video.

It would be easy to fill half a dozen articles of this length with discussions about the new units, systems and upgrade paths available in Shogun 2 and for those dedicated fans of the series that would be largely futile. The Total War series has always been something that fans have submerged themselves in, each new title or expansion bringing new wonders to grow accustomed to. If you think that we’re filling you this review with unnecessary details and should be focusing on gameplay instead, that’s only because we reckon Sharp Creative Agency had the priorities when they fit set out to knock Cut The Rope from its perch. But claiming that Shogun 2 is not unique would be foolish, there’s simply nothing that does the same thing anywhere near as successfully. Ultimately, I suppose the only games that can compare are the previous games in the Total War series.
